"After the class, I came back with a real plan to change not only myself as a manager, but my dealership, as well. We immediately implemented tracking - for the store and for each individual salesperson. Understanding and using their current (90 day) average has kept the team always moving northeast (upward) by setting their activities goals. I also quickly realized the value of group led training, and started training my team on JVTN® two times a week, as a group. I did daily one on ones with them, and daily coaching as well, to help them improve. "I absolutely loved the Team Leadership workshop. I have never been more motivated in my life and I've been in sales 30+ years. I love Zig Ziglar, but Sean was our JV trainer and way more motivating, as he focused on the management skills we've never been taught. (I can't believe Sean has the energy he does). The first change I implemented when I got back, was to focus on our 90-day rolling average. That was huge for both me and my team, because everyone could see which way they're trending. Looking at it that way, it gives us time to make adjustments to improve and get back on track sooner rather than later, and grow from there. "I have been at Fremont Riverton for 3 years. I started as a salesperson and was recently promoted to Manager, and before that I was rancher with no real sales experience. I started training on JVTN® my first day, and had 6 weeks of intensive skill development. We started with Joe's Fast Start for Salespeople and then the “Core 4 Selling” section. We practiced daily, and took the online courses like Joe says. We watched them together - discussed them together - practiced them together, then repeated as many times as we could. "Hello Joe. Thanks for a great management workshop - it was a real eye-opener. Right from the start of the workshop, I started to see the true potential in my store. With each hour in those 2 days, the amount of true potential just kept growing. Since I returned from the workshop, I have never been more excited for my position as a manager and for the opportunities I realized that we have to grow and improve. When I got back to the dealership, I started tracking and charting my team using their 90-day averages that we talked about in class. Then using their averages, we started setting daily, weekly, and monthly improvement goals based on those numbers.
