Right from the start of the workshop, I started to see the true potential in my store. With each hour in those 2 days, the amount of true potential just kept growing. Since I returned from the workshop, I have never been more excited for my position as a manager and for the opportunities I realized that we have to grow and improve. When I got back to the dealership, I started tracking and charting my team using their 90-day averages that we talked about in class. Then using their averages, we started setting daily, weekly, and monthly improvement goals based on those numbers. I also use their averages to forecast our store numbers and set our monthly dealership goals based on those facts. No more highball sessions - now we just set realistic goals and we know how to hit them! I started meeting with each person on my sales team as we reviewed their progress bi-weekly and monthly. What a difference that has made, because it enabled me to recognize the specific training that each individual needed. We also started having 90-day contests based on their current averages, and I posted their averages on the wall. Like you said to expect, we got a nice unit bump just from letting everyone know where they were, where they stood compared to the stores average, and how they compared to everyone else's averages as well. $900 per car improvement on gross."We launched JVTN® in June, and have been increasingly getting better every month since. We're doing group training 5x a week - all managers are involved and take turns leading the team sessions. We're taking the chapters, discussing the chapters, and then practicing and drilling the scripts daily.
